Callie is an AI-powered calorie tracker for iOS and Android. Log meals in under 30 seconds by snapping a photo, speaking, or typing. The app is localized in English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, and Japanese; the AI coach can chat with you in any language in the world. Callie estimates calories and macros from the entry and shows your daily progress against a personalized goal.
Callie is free to download and includes 3 AI logs so you can try photo, voice and text logging. After that it needs a subscription: $4.99/week, $14.99/month or $34.99/year.
Computer-vision-based calorie estimates are typically within 10–20% of a kitchen-scale reference for everyday foods on a plain plate. Accuracy improves when the photo includes a size reference (a hand, fork, or standard plate). For best results combine photos with a quick voice or text adjustment.
Yes. The Callie app is fully localized in English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, and Japanese — and you can chat with the AI coach in any language in the world. More UI localizations are being added.
Four things competitors don't ship: (1) photo logs never auto-confirm — Callie shows what it extracted and lets you edit before logging, so there are no surprise calories; (2) pick a diet and Callie generates a daily meal + exercise plan matched to your BMI, goal, and allergies; (3) a GitHub-style streak dashboard for daily habit visibility; (4) schedule a cheat day on your diet without losing your streak. Plus a localized UI in six languages and an AI coach that speaks any language. See /compare/callie-vs-myfitnesspal and /compare/callie-vs-cal-ai for full comparisons.
No — and this is deliberate. Most AI calorie trackers will auto-log whatever they detect from a photo, which is how wrong calorie counts sneak into your log. Callie shows you exactly what it identified (foods, portions, calories, macros) and you can edit any field before confirming the log. The default is 'review then confirm,' not 'auto-log then maybe fix it later.'
Yes. Mark a day as a scheduled cheat day in your diet plan and Callie protects your streak on the streak dashboard. The intent is to support sustainable habits — one planned indulgence shouldn't reset two months of consistency.
Callie: AI Calorie Tracker is built by Inlab Products, an independent app studio in India founded by Md Sadab Wasim (the name shown as the App Store seller). It is not owned by MyFitnessPal or any other tracker.
No. Callie: AI Calorie Tracker (mycallie.app, by Inlab Products) and "Callie: Women's Calorie Tracker" (thecallieapp.com) are separate apps from different developers. Ours is the photo, voice and text tracker with review-before-confirm logging, at $34.99/year.
Callie is $34.99/year in the US (checked September 2026): less than half of MyFitnessPal Premium ($79.99) or MacroFactor ($71.99), and cheaper than Cronometer Gold ($59.99). Cal AI can cost less; its App Store plans top out at $29.99. If you need a genuinely free tracker, Cronometer and FatSecret have usable free tiers.
Yes. Callie syncs with Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android, and it re-tunes your calorie target every two weeks from your actual weight trend.
